U.S. launches fresh round of powerful strikes on Iran in revenge for thwarted attack as Trump considers new ‘go big’ military strategy | 29 July 2026 | President Trump made good on his threat to retaliate against Iran and weighed a bold plan to ‘go big’ one day after an attack on US troops at a base in Jordan. The U.S. military said it completed “a heavy wave of strikes” across the Islamic Republic on Wednesday after Trump threatened to “beat the f****** s*** out” of Iran. U.S. Central Command said in a social media post that they struck “dozens” of targets belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps over the span of two hours. The targets included military command centers as well as missile and drone facilities, and coastal surveillance and defense sites. The latest wave of US strikes on Iran could potentially be the start of a major operation that was being discussed at The White House.
