California State Capitol evacuated after bomb threat | 6 Dec 2024 | California's State Capitol buildings have been evacuated due to a bomb threat. All state senators and their staff have been told to leave the buildings in Sacramento while authorities determine whether the threat is legitimate or not. State Senator Susan Rubio confirmed everyone was told to leave the building, according to ABC 30. The threat came in the form of an email on Friday morning, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP). The Capitol, Joint Rules, and Swing Space have been "temporarily evacuated," CHP said.
