Capitol Police arrest man accused of assaulting Rep. Nancy Mace | 10 Dec 2024 | Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) said she was "physically accosted" at the US Capitol building complex Tuesday by a transgender rights activist who was later arrested by Capitol Police. "I was physically accosted at the Capitol tonight by a pro-tr*ns man," the congresswoman wrote on X. "One new brace for my wrist and some ice for my arm and it'll heal just fine," Mace added, suggesting she suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident. Capitol Police said James McIntyre, 33, was arrested inside the Rayburn House Office Building in connection with the incident.
