Lunacy, sheer lunacy: U.S. to send more military aid to Ukraine | 9 Aug 2024 | Washington will send Kiev another $125 million worth of missiles and ammunition, the Pentagon announced as fierce fighting continued in Russia's Kursk Region. The U.S. Department of Defense noted on Friday that this was the 63rd batch of aid provided to Ukraine since August 2021 - six months prior to the launch of Russia's military operation. ...The U.S. will send Stinger anti-aircraft missiles; ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS); rounds for 155mm and 105mm artillery; Javelin, AT-4 and TOW anti-tank missiles; small-arms ammunition; and demolitions ordnance, the Pentagon said in a statement. The package also included multi-mission radars, Humvee ambulances, spare parts, services, training and transportation. Washington's previous batch of military aid, worth $1.7 billion, was sent at the end of July.
