Iran retaliates after Israeli strikes | 13 June 2025 | Iran has launched two retaliatory missile barrages against Israel in response to a series of strikes by the Jewish State on Iran on Friday. According to the Israeli Defense Forces, "fewer than 100 missiles" were fired, most of which were intercepted. Earlier on Friday, the Israeli military struck Iran, claiming it was targeting both military and nuclear sites. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that a nuclear enrichment facility in Natanz was among the targets. Iran confirmed that the attacks killed Major General Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran's elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.
