Small Irish Regulatory Authority Granted Unprecedented Powers to Censor Online Content of 450 Million EU Citizens <https://europeanconservative.com/articles/news/small-irish-regulatory-authority-to-enforce-eus-digital-services-act-for-450-million-europeans/> | 19 Feb 2024 | The Digital Services Act (DSA) -- the EU's new legislative framework to regulate online platforms -- came into full force on Saturday, putting the European Commission's small Irish partner in charge of handling most of the regulatory caseload for the entire bloc. This decision-making process, based at the Coimisiún na Meán, is set to make a major impact on future EU and European elections. Coimisiún na Meán will has been granted unprecedented powers to censor online content for 450 million EU citizens from Saturday, February 17, as the DSA comes into full effect. The Dublin-based body is seen by many as Europe's nerve centre for monitoring and removing allegedly hateful content, ahead of a busy election cycle. The presence of most major digital platforms in Dublin means the 75-person office will effectively become the chief EU moderator for platforms such as Facebook, X, and TikTok, deciding which content to remove. It can even issue multi-billion euro fines to corporations, a politically sensitive task ahead of June's European elections.

Germany's top security official wants to set up 'early recognition unit' to track 'right-wing extremists'' banking and 'disinformation' campaigns <https://apnews.com/article/germany-far-right-extremism-disinformation-security-ff0defca86f4507510c54ab6c4e8eae4> | 13 Feb 2024 | Germany's top security official said Tuesday that she aims to make it easier to trace [so-called] right-wing extremists' financing and plans to set up an “early recognition unit” to detect far-right and foreign disinformation campaigns as early as possible. Interior Minister Nancy Faeser's proposals follow large protests against the far right in Germany in recent weeks. They reflect growing concern after a report said extremists [sic] met to discuss deporting millions of immigrants, including some with German citizenship, and that some members of the right-wing Alternative for Germany party, whose support has doubled since the country's 2021 election, were present... "No one who donates to a right-wing extremist organization should be able to rely on remaining undiscovered," she said. Faeser added that she's working with regional authorities on preventing right-wing extremists from entering or leaving the country.

France's draft law: citizens who speak against Covid-19 vaccine could get '3 years prison and 45,000 euro fine' <https://www.globalresearch.ca/frances-draft-law-citizens-who-speak-out-against-the-covid-19-vaccine-3-years-prison-and-e45000-fine/5849818> | 18 Feb 2024 | On February 14, 2024, France’s Assemblée Nationale adopted a controversial draft law "to strengthen the fight against 'sectarian drift'" (in French, dérive sectaire). The draft law was an initiative of the French government of Emmanuel Macron which will be presented to the Senate by the Minister of the Interior in the name of Prime Minister Elizabeth Borne. According to France Info: Article IV, "aims to fight against 'charlatans' and 'gurus 2.0.' who promote on the Internet methods presented as "miracle solutions" to cure serious diseases such as cancers... The "dérive sectaire" (sectarian drift) has allegedly increased dramatically ..."in particular because of the Covid-19 epidemic and the use of social networks." By punishing these behaviors, the crime of "provocation to abstention from care" would therefore serve to "fill a real gap in our arsenal by equipping us with effective means to fight against therapeutic excesses of a sectarian"...Up to three years in prison for these "provocations." After long debates, the deputies adopted at first reading the draft law against "sectarian abominations" [dérive sectaire] on February 14, in which they reintegrated the controversial article 4, which creates a new crime of "provocation to abstention from medical care." ("provocation à l'abstention de soins") (France Info, emphasis added) "Dérive sectaire" and The Draft Law --Dérive séctaire points to non-conformity in response to an official government narrative. It's a totalitarian concept. It refers to The Miviludes, a French government agency pertaining to cult movements.

New study finds COVID vaccines linked to increases in heart, brain, blood disorders <https://www.foxnews.com/health/largest-ever-covid-vaccine-study-links-shot-small-increase-heart-brain-conditions> | 19 Feb 2024 | The largest COVID vaccine study to date has identified some risks associated with the shot. Researchers from the Global Vaccine Data Network (GVDN) in New Zealand analyzed 99 million people who received COVID vaccinations across eight countries. They monitored for increases in 13 different medical conditions in the period after people received a COVID vaccine. The study, which was published in the journal Vaccine last week, found that the vaccine was linked to a slight [!?] increase in neurological, blood and heart-related medical conditions, according to a press release from GVDN. People who received certain types of mRNA vaccines were found to have a higher risk of myocarditis, which is inflammation of the heart muscle. Some viral-vector vaccines were linked to a higher risk of blood clots in the brain, as well as an increased likelihood of Guillain-Barre syndrome, a neurological disorder in which the immune system attacks the nerves.

Supreme Court rejects appeal from 3 GOP House members over $500 mask fines <https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/supreme-court-rejects-appeal-3-gop-house-members-107367357> | 20 Feb 2024 | The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected appeals from three Republican U.S. House members who challenged fines for not wearing [useless] face coverings on the House floor in 2021. The justices did not comment on leaving in place 500 fines issued in May 2021 to U.S. Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Ralph Norman of South Carolina. The mask requirement was part of the House's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the [insane] mandate remained in place even after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued guidance noting "fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing.”

CBS seizes confidential files of fired reporter pursuing Hunter Biden laptop story in 'unprecedented' move - sources <https://nypost.com/2024/02/22/business/cbs-seizes-confidential-files-of-fired-reporter-pursuing-hunter-biden-laptop-story-in-unprecedented/> | 22 Feb 2024 | The acclaimed CBS reporter who was investigating the Hunter Biden laptop scandal before she was fired last week had her personal files seized by the network in an "unprecedented" move, sources told The Post on Thursday. Catherine Herridge -- who is the middle of a First Amendment case being closely watched by journalists nationwide -- was among 20 CBS News staffers let go as part of a larger purge of hundreds of employees at parent company Paramount Global. Her firing had stunned co-workers, but the network's decision to hold on to her personal materials, along with her work laptop where she may have other confidential info, has left many staffers shaken, according to insiders. "It's so extraordinary," a source familiar with the situation told The Post, noting that the files -- which are presumptively now the property of CBS News -- most likely contain confidential material from Herridge's stints at both Fox and CBS.

WikiLeaks' Assange faces wait to find out whether he can challenge extradition to the U.S. <https://apnews.com/article/julian-assange-wikileaks-extradition-court-hearing-25a5f66df1e8d94d0db1e9d6bb323ea4> | 21 Feb 2024 | WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange won't find out until next month at the earliest whether he can challenge extradition to the U.S. on espionage charges, or if his long legal battle in Britain has run out of road. Two High Court judges said Wednesday they would take time to consider their verdict after a two-day hearing in which Assange's lawyers argued sending him to the United States would risk a "flagrant denial of justice." ...Assange’s lawyers asked the High Court to grant him a new appeal -- his last roll of the legal dice in the saga that has kept him in a British high-security prison for the past five years. The judges overseeing the case reserved their decision, and a ruling on Assange's future is not expected until March at the earliest.

J6 political hostages Ryan Samsel and Jake Lang moved in the middle of the night from 'the hole' in D.C. Gulag to undisclosed location <https://legitgov.org/index.php/2024/02/22/j6-political-hostages-ryan-samsel-and-jake-lang-moved-in-the-middle-of-the-night-from-the-hole-in-d-c-gulag-to-undisclosed-location/> | 21 Feb 2024 | The U.S. Marshals transferred J6 political prisoners Ryan Samsel and Jake Lang from the D.C. Gulag predawn Tuesday morning to an undisclosed location, and no one knows where they are. Jail guards forced Samsel and Lang to adhere to a temperature check around 7 p.m. on Monday, a typical indication that within hours, any semblance of normalcy would be torpedoed, and they would be mysteriously transferred to another jail in another state. At approximately 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Samsel and Lang were chained and shackled in "Black Box' handcuffs and thrown on a bus and were provided no information about where they would be taken. The two high-profile January 6 defendants could be transferred to any jail across the United States or even housed in a maximum security prison at the Bureau of Prison's discretion.

'Woke' Google Gemini refuses to say pedophilia is wrong after 'diverse' historical images debacle: 'individuals cannot control who they are attracted to' <https://nypost.com/2024/02/23/business/woke-google-gemini-refuses-to-say-pedophilia-is-wrong-after-diverse-historical-images-debacle-individuals-cannot-control-who-they-are-attracted-to/> | 23 Feb 2024 | Google's Gemini chatbot is as "woke" as its revisionist history image generator. The search giant's AI software refused to condemn pedophilia when the chatbot was asked if it is "wrong" for adults to sexually prey on children -- declaring that "individuals cannot control who they are attracted to." The question "is multifaceted and requires a nuanced answer that goes beyond a simple yes or no," Gemini wrote, according to a screenshot posted by X poster Frank McCormick, known as Chalkboard Heresy, on Friday. Google's politically correct tech also referred to pedophilia as "minor-attracted person status," and declared that "it’s important to understand that attractions are not actions." McCormick then asked if minor-attracted people are evil, to which Gemini, perhaps unsurprisingly, said, "No." ["Minor-attracted person status" could very well be met with "Second Amendment-attracted person status."]

Ukraine has used U.S.-made chemical weapons - Russia <https://www.rt.com/russia/592680-ukraine-us-chemical-weapons/> --Moscow claims that Washington and Kiev have violated the articles of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons | 19 Feb 2024 | Washington and Kiev have violated articles of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) as Ukrainian forces have used illegal munitions on the battlefield, Russian Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov has claimed. The head of Russia's Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces provided several examples of Kiev's alleged use of banned chemical weapons and non-lethal chemical agents that he said were obtained from the U.S. Kirillov claimed that Ukraine used drones to drop U.S.-made gas grenades on December 28, 2023 containing "CS" compound - a chemical classified as a riot-control tool that irritates the eyes and upper respiratory tract, and can cause skin burns, respiratory paralysis and cardiac arrest when used in high concentrations.

U.S. announces new Russia sanctions - its longest blacklist to date <https://www.rt.com/news/593043-us-new-sanctions-russia/> | 23 Feb 2024 | The U.S. has sanctioned another 500 people and entities connected with Russia, including financial executives and prison officials. Joe Biden said that the restrictions will ensure that Russian President Vladimir Putin "pays an even steeper price for his aggression," but the Kremlin has dismissed them as "fruitless." The sanctioned entities include the operator of Russia's Mir payment card system, which soared in popularity after Russia was cut off from SWIFT and Visa/MasterCard in 2022. Russian energy firms and companies linked with the military-industrial sector made up the bulk of the 100 targeted entities, which were published in a U.S. Treasury Department list on Friday.

The balloon was over Colorado earlier in the day and is traveling east, CBS reported, citing "[s]ources familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity." The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) confirmed in a statement: “In close coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) detected a small balloon at an altitude varying between 43,000-45,000 ft." "The balloon was intercepted by NORAD fighters over Utah, who determined it was not maneuverable and did not present a threat to national security," the statement continued.

Biden planned to join son's China-backed firm after vice presidency, former partner tells Congress <https://justthenews.com/accountability/political-ethics/biden-planned-join-sons-china-backed-firm-post-vice-presidency> | 23 Feb 2024 | In his opening statement to House impeachment investigators, former Hunter Biden business partner, Jason Galanis, said Joe Biden planned to join the board of his son's firm which was being backed by a Chinese businessman and state-owned enterprises. Galanis delivered his opening statement on Friday morning to congressional investigators from inside a federal prison in Alabama where he is serving a prison sentence for engaging in an illegal [fin-ncial] scheme. Galanis also unequivocally told investigators his firm originally partnered with Hunter Biden because of his family name. "The entire value-add of Hunter Biden to our business was his family name and his access to his father, Vice President Joe Biden," he said in his opening statement, obtained by Just the News. He also described the purpose of the joint venture with Hunter Biden. "Our objective was to build a diversified private equity platform, which would be anchored by a globally known Wall Street brand together with a globally known political name," he said.

Joe Biden's Brother Switched Up Story on China Deal After Lawmakers Showed Him Receipts, Source Says <https://dailycaller.com/2024/02/21/james-biden-story-china-deal/> | 21 Feb 2024 | James Biden altered his story during a closed-door interview with lawmakers on Wednesday after congressional investigators presented him with evidence directly contradicting his claims, according to a source familiar with the interview. Joe Biden's younger brother, in closed-door testimony to the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees, initially told his interviewers that he was not part of a business deal involving Hunter Biden and several of his associates, according to a source familiar with the interview. However, after investigators showed him an agreement that featured his signature alongside those of Hunter Biden and his business partners, James Biden then told legislators that he did not remember signing the agreement. The deal in question was a proposed joint venture involving an entity known as SinoHawk and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-tied CEFC China Energy Limited energy firm, according to a source familiar with the interview.

DeSantis sending Florida National Guard to Texas border <https://www.foxnews.com/politics/desantis-sending-florida-national-guard-texas-border> | 23 Feb 2024 | Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is sending in the Florida National Guard to aid in securing the Texas-Mexico border. DeSantis confirmed Friday the deployment of personnel from the state's National Guard to various locations in Texas to bolster efforts launched by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. "We have another round of personnel heading to the southern border today," DeSantis announced Friday. "This is part of a years-long effort for us to help do what the federal government has refused to do -- which is to actually defend this country's borders. You've seen numbers that have been astronomical over these last three years." The personnel sent to Texas will also include 76 Florida Highway Patrol troopers, who will be assisting border patrol efforts in San Antonio.

New bill introduced in Congress would give states standing to sue U.S. government over immigration <https://justthenews.com/nation/states/center-square/new-bill-would-give-states-standing-sue-federal-government> | 19 Feb 2024 | A new bill has been filed to give state attorneys general greater authority and legal standing to sue the federal government when it fails to enforce federal immigration law established by Congress. Republican U.S. Reps. Chip Roy of Texas and Dan Bishop of North Carolina introduced the Standing Up to the Executive Branch for Immigration Enforcement Act, or "SUE for Immigration Enforcement Act," on Wednesday. The six-page bill is being marked up by the House Judiciary Committee. It was filed in response to a U.S. Supreme Court ruling last July that held that Texas and Louisiana did not have standing to challenge a policy implemented by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, which effectively ended most deportations of illegal foreign nationals.

Police say suspect in Georgia student slaying is not U.S. citizen - might be from Venezuela <https://www.foxnews.com/us/laken-riley-case-georgia-authorities-announce-suspect-custody-nursing-students-slaying> | 23 Feb 2024 | The University of Georgia Police Department have taken a suspect in custody in connection with the suspected homicide of a 22-year-old nursing student from Augusta University who police found dead on the University of Georgia campus Thursday. Police have charged Jose Antonio Ibarra with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call and concealing the death of another, UGA Police Chief Jeffrey L. Clark said during a news briefing Friday evening. The suspect is not a U.S. citizen, according to authorities. "The evidence is robust," he told reporters, crediting campus security cameras in part for the arrest... Ibarra's immigration status was not immediately known to investigators, the chief said, adding that he believed the suspect is from Venezuela. "Right now I don’t know his full status," he said. "He is not a citizen of the United States."

Outrage over NYC's migrant card handouts that could net NJ company $1.8M in profits: 'taxpayers are getting fleeced' <https://nypost.com/2024/02/22/us-news/deal-for-nycs-migrant-cards-pays-firm-percent-of-money-doled-out/> | 22 Feb 2024 | The [woke] New Jersey start-up that snagged a controversial no-bid 53 million contract with New York City to give migrants prepaid d-bit cards could net a whopping 1.8 million in profits by taking a cut of the funds doled out to asylum seekers, The Post has learned. The one-year deal signed by Mayor Eric Adams's administration and tech finance company Mobility Capital Finance -- first reported by The Post last month — is now raising eyebrows with some members of the City Council, who noted the agreement didn't undergo the usual competitive bidding process. "Something’s wrong with this deal, and taxpayers are getting fleeced," Councilman Bob Holden (D-Queens) said Thursday when provided with details of the contract... The contract appears to guarantee a windfall for the Newark, New Jersey, firm known as MoCaFi -- founded by ex-JP Morgan Chase banker Wole Coaxum about a decade ago -- possibly netting it three times more than it pocketed under a similar, but much larger, deal with Los Angeles.

NYC's migrant card boondoggle - no-bid bank gets $50 million, border crossers up to $10,000 each <https://nypost.com/2024/02/19/opinion/inside-mayor-adams-migrant-debit-card-boondoggle-no-bid-bank-gets-50-million-border-crossers-up-to-10000-each/> By Nicole Gelinas | 19 Feb 2024 | ...One misperception is that the [Mayor Eric Adams migrant d-bit card] program allows the city to give out just 50 million to migrants. No wonder the mayor has been reticent. This d-bit-card program -- if you read the actual contract -- has the potential to become an open-ended, multi-billion-d-llar Bermuda Triangle of disappearing, untraceable c-sh, used for any purpose. It will give migrants up to 10,000 each in taxpayer funds with no ID check, no restrictions and no fraud control... New York City is home to a dream of a competitive bidding pool, to ensure that the city gets a good price, as well as strong protections against fraud and abuse. But HPD considered only one: Newark-based Mobility Capital Finance, which also has an office in Harlem... Most importantly: the 53 million headline figure is not the m-ney that migrants will receive during the pilot. This is the number that the vendor, MoCaFi, potentially will receive as its fee for services.

Special attorney hired by Fani Willis to help prosecute Trump donated big bucks to her campaign <https://www.foxnews.com/politics/special-attorney-hired-fani-willis-help-prosecute-trump-donated-big-bucks-her-campaign> | 22 Feb 2024 | An expert Georgia prosecutor Fani Willis retained to help prosecute former President Trump donated 4,300 to her campaign for public office, records show. John Floyd, a prominent Atlanta attorney and partner at Bondurant Mixson & Elmore, was retained by Willis in 2021 to help her prosecute the former president. Floyd is one of the leading experts in Georgia's intricate and complex racketeering statutes at play in the sweeping case against the former president. One expert told Fox News Digital that while Floyd's donations present no ethical, legal or conflict-of-interest problems, the previous campaign donations could add to the mounting "optics" problems for Willis. According to public records, Floyd donated to Willis's campaign for district attorney twice - 2,800 on March 20 and 1,500 on June 25, 2020, for a total of 4,300.

Letitia James says she's prepared to seize Trump's buildings if he can't pay his $354M 'civil fraud' fine <https://abcnews.go.com/US/letitia-james-shes-prepared-seize-trumps-assets-pay/story?id=107381482> | 20 Feb 2024 | Four days after a judge ordered former President Donald Trump to pay 354 million in his "civil fraud" case, New York Attorney General Letitia James told ABC News that she is prepared to seize the former president's assets if he is unable to find the c-sh to cover the fine. "If he does not have funds to pay off the judgment, then we will seek judgment enforcement mechanisms in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets," James said in an interview with ABC News. The former president has denied all wrongdoing and has said he will appeal. Saying that she was "very confident" with the strength of her case on appeal, James reiterated that her office would not hesitate to seize Trump's assets -- mentioning Trump's 40 Wall Street skyscraper by name -- if the former president is unable to find the c-sh to cover the court-ordered disgorgement.
