Solingen knife attack: German festival knifeman allegedly said, 'I'm going to stab everyone' - while police can't give description of attacker who fatally injured three and remains on the loose | 24 Aug 2024 | A knifeman who killed three people last night at a diversity festival in Germany was heard saying "I'm going to stab everyone" before launching the attack, as anti-terror units join the hunt for the slasher. It comes as a 15-year-old boy is being quizzed over claims he knew about the attack in Solingen, western Germany hours before, but failed to report it, police revealed in a press conference. According to local media, two witnesses claimed to have seen the teen speaking to the attacker before he unleashed his rampage, and said that they heard him mumble the horrifying warning. The killer is still on the loose after he fled the scene in Fronhof central square at around 9.45pm. Armed police have been searching properties for evidence as they continue the major manhunt. No formal description or image of the attacker has been released by German police yet as they say they have received multiple, conflicting descriptions of him. It was confirmed in a police press conference this afternoon that the attacks were "very targeted" at people's throats and necks, following speculation yesterday.
