The Tesla and SpaceX CEO made the remarks in response to an X post by former Republican presidential candidate and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who called for mass deportations and the sealing of the U.S.-Mexico border."Even if only 0.1% of illegal aliens who've crossed our border have hostile intentions, that's tens of thousands of would-be attackers," Ramaswamy pointed out, suggesting that unless special attention is paid to the issue, "we're paving the way for another 9/11-scale tragedy." Musk replied, saying it is "only a matter of time" before such a disaster unfolds.
