Fuel trucks to get police escorts ahead of Hurricane Dorian, Florida governor says

Fuel trucks to get police escorts ahead of Hurricane Dorian, Florida governor says | 31 Aug 2019 | Gov. Ron DeSantis said the likely path and impact of Hurricane Dorian is not clear Friday, but one thing is certain: It's going to be a bad one...He said the state has cleared shoulders of I-75 and I-95 to speed evacuation, which has not been ordered yet, and that highway tolls will be waived when the landfall of the slow-moving storm is known and residents are advised to leave. DeSantis said the Florida Highway Patrol is escorting fuel trucks to resupply filling stations, which are running out of gas in some areas. He said arrangements are being made with neighboring states to divert some supplies to Florida, as long lines spring up at many stations.
