Class-action lawsuit against Yale claims 'rigged' application process deprived students of a fair review

Class-action lawsuit against Yale claims 'rigged' application process deprived students of a fair review | 14 March 2019 | A college student who was denied admission to Yale University is taking the school to court, alleging in a class-action lawsuit that Yale and other prominent universities were negligent in failing to prevent the cheating and bribery scandal that came to light this week. Stanford University student Erica Olsen and her co-plaintiff, classmate Kalea Woods, argue in the lawsuit, filed in federal court in California, that they were deprived of the fair and unbiased reviews they paid for through college application fees, "without any understanding or warning that unqualified students were slipping in through the back door of the admissions process by committing fraud, bribery, cheating and dishonesty."
