The former president was rushed to safety on Sunday after multiple shots were fired in his vicinity while he was playing golf at his club in West Palm Beach. A suspected gunman is in custody after the terrifying incident at Trump International Club almost exactly two months after a gunman tried to take out Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump confirmed in a statement about an hour after the incident that he is "safe and well" and didn't want rumors to "start spiraling out of control." The 2024 Republican nominee's bulked up Secret Service advance team spotted the shooter in the tree lines just two holes from where Trump was golfing. The FBI now says two hours after the incident that the attack "appears to be an attempted assassination of former President Trump." [Yes, I'm sure the FBI is busy "probing" - why another one of their deep-state hirelings failed in his mission.]

Fox News Channel reported, based on "two law enforcement sources," that Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested by Martin County officials after fleeing the scene. The would-be assassin did not get off a shot against Mr. Trump.

During a campaign rally in Las Vegas on Friday, Trump expressed concern over a potential nuclear conflict due to the "incompetent people" in Washington, claiming he is the only one capable of preventing all-out war. "You're going to end up in World War III. You're going to have a nuclear Holocaust if we're not careful. These people have no idea what they're doing," he warned supporters, promising to keep Americans "out of World War III." "I will end the chaos in the Middle East, and I will settle the war in Ukraine...I will resolve that as president-elect," he continued, arguing that "a vote for comrade Kamala Harris is a vote for war with Russia." Trump also claimed that Harris is seeking to reinstate military conscription to "draft your child and put them in a war that should never have happened.”

Three Ukrainian jets shot down - Russia <https://www.rt.com/russia/604055-ukraine-jets-sukhoi-f16/> | 15 Sept 2024 | Russian forces have shot down three Ukrainian fighter jets over the last 24 hours, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said. Two Sukhoi Su-27 aircraft operated by Kiev were destroyed by the Russian Aerospace Forces, while Russian air defenses have shot down a Mikoyan MiG-29 plane, the ministry said in its daily update on Sunday. During the same period, the Russian air defenses also intercepted a U.S.-made HIMARS rocket, four French-made Hammer guided bombs, and 55 drones, it added. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces lost more than 2,200 troops along the front line and dozens of units of various equipment, including several U.S.-made M777 towed artillery pieces and British L-119 howitzers.

RFK Jr. urges Biden not to approve long-range missiles for Ukraine: 'Reckless escalation' <https://www.foxnews.com/politics/rfk-jr-urges-biden-not-approve-long-range-missiles-ukraine-reckless-escalation> | 14 Sept 2024 | Robert F. Kennedy Jr. slammed Joe Biden's administration for continuing to provide Ukraine with long-range missiles on Saturday, arguing it was a major escalation of the conflict. He made the comment in relation to reporting that the U.S. is set to approve Ukraine using long-range missiles to strike inside Russia. "Secretary Blinken, President [sic] Biden - STOP IT!
