CIA blocked feds from interviewing Hunter Biden's 'sugar brother' Kevin Morris during five-year tax probe <https://nypost.com/2024/03/21/us-news/cia-blocked-feds-from-interviewing-hunter-bidens-sugar-bro-kevin-morris-during-tax-probe/> --Two DOJ officials were summoned to CIA headquarters in Langley, Va. | 21 March 2024 | The CIA blocked federal investigators from interviewing Hunter Biden's "sugar brother" Kevin Morris during a five-year probe into the first son’s alleged tax crimes, a whistleblower has told House impeachment leaders. House Oversight and Judiciary Committee chairmen say the whistleblower informed them the intelligence agency stopped IRS and Justice Department investigators from interviewing Morris in August 2021, a Hollywood lawyer and patron of the first son, according to a Thursday letter addressed to CIA Director William Burns. The whistleblower informed Oversight chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Judiciary chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) that two DOJ officials were summoned to CIA headquarters in Langley, Va. -- and told Morris "could not be a witness" for their investigation into Hunter Biden. "It is unknown why or on what basis the CIA allegedly intervened to prevent investigators from interviewing Mr. Morris," Comer and Jordan wrote in the letter, which was obtained by The Post.

Jordan, Comer press CIA over alleged interference in Hunter Biden investigation <https://justthenews.com/government/congress/jordan-comer-press-cia-over-alleged-interference-hunter-biden-investigation> | 21 March 2024 | House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer on Thursday pressed CIA Director William Burns over the agency's alleged interference in a tax investigation into first son Hunter Biden. The Department of Justice and Internal Revenue Service had for years conducted a tax investigation into the first son that came under scrutiny from whistleblowers who alleged that Biden-appointed DOJ officials had worked to stifle the probe and prevent the worst charges from being brought. The case nearly culminated in a plea agreement, though that effort failed to survive judicial scrutiny and Attorney General Merrick Garland has since elevated U.S. Attorney David Weiss to special counsel status to continue the probe. "Recently, the Committees received information from a whistleblower alleging that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) intervened in the investigation of Hunter Biden to prevent the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigators from interviewing a witness. We therefore write to request relevant material from the CIA," the Republicans wrote to Burns.

Russian MP warns French soldiers not to enter Ukraine <https://www.rt.com/russia/594624-russia-warning-french-soldiers/> --Pyotr Tolstoy has accused Paris of provoking World War III | 21 March 2024 | France should think twice before sending troops to Ukraine, Russian State Duma Deputy Chairman Pyotr Tolstoy has said. Speaking to French BFM TV on Thursday, he warned that any French soldier who comes to Ukraine to fight against Russia will be eliminated. His comments came in response to recent remarks made by French President Emmanuel Macron about potentially sending troops to the conflict zone. Last month, Macron triggered a barrage of criticism when he said that he "cannot exclude" the possibility of Western soldiers being deployed to aid Ukraine. While most NATO member states rushed to disavow his words and claimed that they had no such plans, the French leader later reaffirmed his stance by saying he recognizes no limits or Russian "red lines" when it comes to backing Kiev. Tolstoy warned that Macron's idea of sending French soldiers to Ukraine "will end with coffins covered by the [French] tricolor flag."

Russian army announces new Donbass gains <https://www.rt.com/russia/594625-moscow-new-donbass-gains/> | 21 March 2024 | Moscow's forces have liberated the village of Tonenkoye in Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Thursday. Tonenkoye has seen intense combat over the past few weeks, following the taking of the key Donbass town of Avdeevka in mid-February. The village forms part of the Orlovka-Tonenkoye-Berdychi line, located to the northwest of the town. Over the past 24-hour period, Ukrainian forces have lost over 320 soldiers, a tank, four other armored and up to seven unarmored vehicles, according to Moscow’s estimates. Earlier this week, the Russian military announced the liberation of Orlovka, effectively cutting the line in half and disrupting Ukrainian communications between Tonenkoye and Berdychi, with the latter continuing to see active combat.

Putin addresses nation after election <https://www.rt.com/russia/594626-putin-address-nation-election/> --The Russian president has vowed to meet citizens' expectations after receiving over 87% of the vote | 21 March 2024 | The presidential election in Russia has shown that the country remains one big family, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday after securing his fifth term in office. He also thanked the voters for their unprecedented support and vowed to meet their expectations. Earlier in the day, Russia's Central Election Commission (CEC) officially declared Putin president-elect, announcing that he had received over 87% of the vote. Last weekend's election recorded a record-high voter turnout that exceeded 77%. Putin is scheduled to be inaugurated on May 7 for another six years in office... The president praised local election authorities for their excellent work. He made specific mention of officials in the former Ukrainian territories that overwhelmingly voted to join Russia in the autumn 2022, saying that they had demonstrated considerable courage.

Mike Lee: 'Don't Vote for Spending Bill'; Lawmakers Had 'No Chance to Review' <https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2024/03/21/sen-mike-lee-dont-vote-spending-bill-lawmakers-had-no-chance-review/> | 21 March 2024 | Lawmakers should not vote for the [insane] 1.2 trillion spending bill released in the dead of the night, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said on Thursday, warning that members of Congress have not even had the proper time to review it. "Tell your senators: don't vote for a spending bill they've had no chance to review, let alone debate or amend," Lee warned on Thursday. Congress released the text of the 1,000+ page bill overnight, which has not come without scrutiny. Politico described the spending bill as a "conclusive defeat for House conservatives," as it reportedly includes 1 billion for Pentagon climate change initiatives and 200 million for a new FBI headquarters.

Biden moves to kill the gas car: White House unveils climate edict aimed at slashing sales of internal combustion vehicles by 2032, in favor of EVs and hybrids <https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13219567/Biden-administration-announces-climate-rules-phase-gas-cars-make-sure-majority-vehicles-sold-2032-electric-hybrid.html> | 20 March 2024 | The Biden regime unveiled drastic climate regulations Wednesday designed to phase out gas cars and ensure the majority of passenger vehicles and light trucks sold in the U.S. by 2032 are electric or hybrid. It represents one of the most significant parts of its ambitious climate agenda as it imposes tight rules on tailpipes that it says will halve greenhouse gas emissions from cars. But in a concession to automakers and labor unions the regulations will be rolled out more slowly than originally proposed. The rules come as sales of electric vehicles, which are needed to meet the standards, have begun to slow.

Over 100 migrants break through razor wire, knock down guards as they illegally cross El Paso border in wild scene <https://nypost.com/2024/03/21/us-news/migrants-break-barriers-and-rush-border-guards-in-el-paso/> | 21 March 2024 | A group of over 100 migrants attempting to enter the US illegally rushed a border wall Thursday, breaking through razor wire and knocking over guards in the process. The Post witnessed around 600 migrants amassed at the international border on the Mexican side, who the Texas National Guard were attempting to push back in small groups amid a "spring surge" of migrants arriving to the southern border hoping to get asylum in the U.S. A group of men with hoodies, gloves and winter jackets then pull the fencing away as a group of five guards form a defensive position to fill the gap. Some migrants can be seen putting their hands up in surrender in the video, but seconds later, others scramble through, knocking the guards out of the way.

200K immigrants escaped deportation after DHS failed to file paperwork - TRAC <https://www.foxnews.com/us/dhs-failure-file-paperwork-200k-immigration-court-cases-tossed-president-biden-trac> | 20 March 2024 | Since President Biden has been in office, immigration judges have thrown out approximately 200,000 deportation cases because the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) did not file the required "Notice to Appear" (NTA) by the time of the scheduled hearing, according to a report published Wednesday. The report from Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), which tracks immigration case data and backlogs, includes DHS records up through February 2024. As noted by TRAC, a nonpartisan data gathering organization, DHS's duty to file an NTA in immigration court is a crucial step in the immigration enforcement process. The NTA spells out why DHS believes a particular immigrant should be deported, and acts as a formal request for an immigration judge to use a removal order.

Illegal immigrant charged in double stabbing in Missouri <https://justthenews.com/nation/crime/illegal-immigrant-charged-double-stabbing-missouri> | 20 March 2024 | An illegal immigrant has been charged in a double stabbing incident in O'Fallon, Missouri, that occurred on Sunday. Police say Jose Barrera assaulted two victims inside Highlander Laundry after allegedly engaging in a brief exchange with one of the victims. Barrera is charged with Assault and Armed Criminal Action, according to KMOX in St. Louis. After the initial exchange, that person ran outside, followed by Barrera, who allegedly stabbed the victim in the back. A second person intervened and was also stabbed in the back. The injuries are considered non life threatening. Homeland Security issued a detainer on Barrera, recognizing him as undocumented, and having entered through Eagle Pass, Texas.

TikToker tells illegal immigrants how to 'invade' American homes and invoke squatter's rights <https://nypost.com/2024/03/21/us-news/tiktokker-tells-illegal-immigrants-how-to-invade-american-homes/> | 21 March 2024 | A migrant TikToker with a 500,000-strong online following is offering his comrades tips on how to "invade" unoccupied homes and invoke squatter's rights in the United States. Venezuelan national Leonel Moreno, who appears to live in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, said in a recent video that under U.S. law, "if a house is not inhabited, we can seize it." He appeared to be referring to adverse possession laws, commonly known as squatter's rights, which allow unlawful property occupants rights over the property they occupy without the owner's consent, in certain circumstances. Moreno claimed in the viral TikTok clip, which has drawn more than 3.9 million views, that he has "African friends" who have "already taken about seven homes." [Why hasn't this nut-job been deported?]

Fed-up homeowner arrested after tense standoff with squatters 'stealing' $1M house she inherited from parents <https://nypost.com/2024/03/19/us-news/moment-nyc-homeowner-is-arrested-after-tense-standoff-with-squatters/> | 19 March 2024 | A New York City property owner recently ended up in handcuffs following a fiery standoff with a bunch of squatters she has been trying to boot from her family’s home, tense footage of the ordeal shows. Adele Andaloro, 47, was recently nabbed after she changed the locks on the 1 million home in Flushing, Queens, that she says she inherited from her parents when they died, ABC's Eyewitness News reported. "It's enraging," the homeowner said of the squatter saga. "It's not fair that I, as the homeowner, have to be going through this." Andaloro claims the ordeal erupted when she started the process of trying to sell the home last month but realized squatters had moved in -- and brazenly replaced the entire front door and locks... In New York City, a person can claim "squatter's rights" after just 30 days of living at a property.

Jordan investigating IRS corruption claims: Is agency spying on taxpayers 'en masse?' <https://www.wnd.com/2024/03/jordan-investigating-irs-corruption-claims-agency-spying-taxpayers-en-masse/> --Feds accused of watching bank accounts without legal justification | 21 March 2024 | A new investigation has been launched by Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Rep. Harriet Hageman, R-Wyo., into allegations of IRS corruption, that the feared and powerful federal bureaucracy is using artificial intelligence to spy on taxpayers' bank accounts and financial records "en masse." And without a legal reason. The two members of Congress have written Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Attorney General Merrick Garland requiring their cooperation with a review of the situation that was brought on after the IRS itself boasted of using AI technology in its hunt for tax m-ney. The members explain, in an announcement about their review, "Recent reporting alleges that the IRS's use of AI has also included actively monitoring American citizens' bank accounts en masse and without legal process.”

Republican lawmakers sue DOJ tax attorneys for refusing to provide testimony in Biden impeachment inquiry <https://nypost.com/2024/03/21/us-news/republican-lawmakers-sue-doj-tax-division-officials-for-refusing-to-provide-testimony-in-biden-impeachment-inquiry/> | 21 March 2024 | The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday filed a lawsuit against two attorneys from the Justice Department’s tax division over their refusal to comply with subpoenas issued by the Republican-led panel co-leading Joe Biden's impeachment inquiry. The complaint asks the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., to issue a preliminary injunction compelling DOJ lawyers Mark Daly and Jack Morgan to sit for depositions before the panel investigating Biden's alleged involvement in his family's business dealings. Daly and Morgan have been involved in the DOJ's five-year-long probe into Hunter Biden's alleged criminal activity, which has thus far resulted in 12 charges against the 53-year-old first son related to tax and gun crimes. "The Committee's need for Daly's and Morgan’s testimony is urgent," the motion for the emergency order states. "Every day that they defy the Committee's Subpoenas delays and hinders its investigation at a time when the Committee is seeking to conclude its fact gathering.”

Hunter and James Biden accused of lying to Congress by House GOP impeachment witnesses - one says he's 'at grave risk' for coming forward <https://nypost.com/2024/03/20/us-news/hunter-and-james-biden-accused-of-lying-by-house-gop-impeachment-witnesses/> | 20 March 2024 | First son Hunter Biden and first brother James Biden were accused of lying by a pair of House Republican impeachment inquiry witnesses during a Wednesday - one of whom said he had put himself "at grave risk" by coming forward. Tony Bobulinski accused his former business partners Hunter and James of "perjury" during depositions they gave last month about Joe Biden's alleged past involvement in their overseas business. Bobulinski explained that, while serving as the CEO of Sinohawk as part of a partnership the Bidens sought with a Chinese state-linked energy firm, he "met with Joe Biden, Hunter Biden and Jim Biden at the Beverly Hilton in May 2017" -- despite the first brother denying this meeting ever occurred.

Trump gets legal victory as Georgia judge grants him right to appeal ruling allowing Fani Willis to stay on case <https://nypost.com/2024/03/20/us-news/trump-granted-right-to-appeal-fani-willis-decision/> | 20 March 2024 | Donald Trump won a legal victory in the Georgia election fraud case against him Wednesday, when a judge granted him the right to appeal his ruling allowing District Attorney Fani Willis to stay on the case. Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee granted the former president's motion seeking an immediate review by Georgia's Court of Appeals of his bombshell ruling on Friday allowing the embattled DA to continue prosecuting the case, despite her affair with lead prosecutor Nathan Wade. Trump and seven other co-defendants seeking to boot Willis did not have an automatic right to appeal before the start of a trial. However, McAfee granted the rare measure, citing the importance of the case — which has potentially huge implications for the expected Republican presidential nominee.

Ailing 750-pound alligator seized from NY home after gentle giant would swim with kids <https://nypost.com/2024/03/15/us-news/albert-the-750-pound-alligator-seized-from-new-york-home/> | 16 March 2024 | A Western New York community is rallying behind a man who kept an ailing 11-foot, 750-pound alligator in a pool inside his home -- where children were invited to swim with the gentle giant. The 34-year-old reptile was seized Wednesday from the Hamburg house, which was decked out with an in-ground swimming pool made to look like a pond. The homeowner "allegedly allowed members of the public to get into the water to pet the unsecured alligator," the state Department of Environmental Conservation said. The massive gator had numerous health-related issues, including blindness in both eyes and spinal complications when he was removed from the home, according to officials... The reptile-lover is already fighting back against the seizure of his beloved pet "Albert," who has been with him for 34 years. "As everyone has probably already heard The DEC and SPCA took Albert away from me saying that I put people in harm's way with him. Every one who has met Albert or knows Albert knows that this is not true," self-identified owner Tony Cavallaro wrote in an online petition <https://www.change.org/p/help-us-return-albert-the-alligator-to-his-owner>. 'He's like family to everybody': Community rallies around Hamburg man after alligator was seized from his home <https://www.wkbw.com/news/local-news/southtowns/hes-like-family-to-everybody-community-rallies-around-hamburg-man-after-alligator-was-seized-from-his-home> | 16 March 2024 | It has been an emotional week for Tony Cavallaro of Hamburg. On Wednesday, the DEC seized his alligator, Albert. Cavallaro got Albert from a reptile show in 1990 when he was a baby and calls him a son. Now thousands have signed a petition to bring the 11-foot, 800-pound gator home. The Hamburg resident said on Wednesday the DEC swarmed his home, with the help of police and the SPCA Serving Erie County, took his phone out of his hand, and would not let him say goodbye to Albert. "It was really upsetting how it was handled," said next-door neighbor Laura Lautner. "They loaded Albert on the back of a cargo van, and just laid him there." Cavallaro previously had a permit for Albert, but it expired in 2021 and was not renewed. However, Cavallaro said he tried to renew it with the DEC. "[DEC] would not clarify, they would not answer, this is on them," said Cavallaro. "I should be grandfathered in."
