The missile launches follow Iran's attack last Saturday, where the country sent a volley of more than 300 un-crewed drones and missiles toward targets throughout the country, Israeli military officials previously said. All but a few were intercepted by Israel and its allies, including the United States, officials said. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country's war cabinet have met several times since the Iran strikes, and as ABC News previously reported, at least two strikes were previously aborted.

Bank of America issues $130 oil warning <https://www.rt.com/business/596167-bank-of-america-oil-warning/> --A direct war between Israel and Iran could "substantially" drive prices up, the bank has said in a note cited by CNBC | 18 April 2024 | An all-out war between Israel and Iran could drive oil prices up by 30-40 per barrel, Bank of America experts have told clients in a research note seen by CNBC. Tehran and West Jerusalem have traded threats since Iran conducted its first direct military attack on the Jewish state last weekend, in retaliation for a suspected Israeli airstrike on the Iranian diplomatic mission in Syria earlier this month. If hostilities escalate into a protracted conflict that impacts energy infrastructure and disrupts Iranian crude supplies, the price of global benchmark Brent could rise "substantially" to 130 in the second quarter of this year, a Bank of America research note stated on Tuesday, according to CNBC. It added that U.S. crude oil could soar to 123.

The pro-Palestinian staffers -- who had donned traditional Arab headscarves as they stormed and occupied the office of a top executive in California on Tuesday -- were terminated late Wednesday after an internal investigation, Google vice president of global security Chris Rackow said in a companywide memo. In New York, protesters had occupied the 10th floor of Google's offices in the Chelsea section of Manhattan as part of a protest that also extended to the company's offices in Seattle for what it called "No Tech for Genocide Day of Action.”

Ilhan Omar's (D-Minn.) daughter Isra Hirsi announced Thursday she had been suspended from college after taking part in an unauthorized pro-Palestine protest on campus. U.S. vetoes Palestinian attempt to gain statehood at the United Nations <https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/18/middleeast/us-united-nations-resolution-palestine-membership-intl/index.html> | 18 April 2024 | The United States on Thursday blocked a United Nations Security Council resolution that would have recognised a Palestinian state. Twelve members of the Security Council had voted in favor of the resolution, while two countries -- the UK and Switzerland -- abstained. The U.S. vetoed it. The Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas, sharply criticized the U.S. veto, saying in a statement that it was "unfair, immoral, and unjustified, and defies the will of the international community, which strongly supports the State of Palestine obtaining full membership in the United Nations." Israel's Foreign Minister Israel Katz praised the U.S. for vetoing what he called a "shameful proposal."

U.S. Congress declares Palestinian slogan 'anti-Semitic' <https://www.rt.com/news/596097-congress-river-sea-palestinian-ban/> | 17 April 2024 | The US House of Representatives on Wednesday voted to condemn the chant "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" as hate speech. The slogan, which dates to the 1960s, calls for a Palestinian state between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Israel has argued that this implicitly denies its right to exist in the same territory. "Our resolution makes it clear that the slogan 'from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free' is antisemitic and calls for the total eradication of the Jewish, democratic state of Israel and the annihilation of the Jewish people," said one of its sponsors, Congressman Josh Gottheimer. Congress has the responsibility to "condemn disgusting, divisive, and dehumanizing chants" and fight against "prejudice and hate,” added Gottheimer, a New Jersey Democrat. The other two sponsors were New York Republican Anthony D'Esposito and Florida Democrat Jared Moskowitz. The resolution was adopted by 377 votes in favor to 44 opposed. Only one Republican, Thomas Massie of Kentucky, voted against it citing constitutional grounds. The other 43 nays were from the "progressive" faction of the Democrats. ["There is no such legal category as "hate speech" in the U.S. Not yet at least. But Congress has declared 'from the river to the sea' 'hate speech.' How long before these unconstitutional acts of Congress become law?" --Michael Rectenwald, CLG News Founder and Libertarian Party candidate for president.]

NATO member explains why it will block Ukraine from joining <https://www.rt.com/news/596067-slovakia-to-block-ukraine-nato/> --Kiev's accession would risk a global war, Slovakia's prime minister has warned | 17 April 2024 | The risks of a global war will only increase if Ukraine becomes part of NATO, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico warned on Tuesday, promising that his country will block Kiev's attempt to join. Accepting new countries into the U.S.-led military bloc requires unanimous consent from all of its 32 current members. If Ukraine is invited, Slovakia's parliament will not ratify the accession treaty, Fico insisted. "Slovakia needs a neutral Ukraine. Our interests will be threatened if it becomes a NATO member state because that is the basis of a large world conflict," the prime minister explained, as quoted by the Noviny.sk <http://noviny.sk/> news website. Fico stressed that he will not bow to any outside pressure.

Late Night 'Emergency Ruling': Conservatism Conference Can Go Ahead, Mayor Exceeded Authority by Sending Police to Shut Down Free Speech <https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2024/04/17/emergency-ruling-conference-goes-ahead-mayor-exceeded-authority/> | 17 April 2024 | A Brussels mayor who ordered police to shut down a conservative conference exceeded his authority and the event will go ahead unmolested today, a late-night court decision has ruled, citing the right to freedom to assembly in the national constitution. The National Conservatism Conference in Brussels - the heart of the European Union - was shut down by police on Tuesday, who blocked the entrance and prevented speakers including a French Presidential Candidate and members of the European Parliament from getting inside. The bullying tactics by the municipal mayor, who boasted he was using public safety concerns to run conservatives out of the city, followed the conference having already been turned out of two previous venues in less than a week as other left-wing local mayors pressured them to cancel bookings.

Cops in Brussels, Belgium, Prevent Conservatives From Freely Meeting <https://public.substack.com/p/police-state-cops-in-belgium-brussels> | 16 April 2024 | No sooner had the totalitarian drama in Brazil started to calm down than a fresh new one erupted in Belgium. As of 5 p.m. local time today, the local Brussels police were not letting people into an event of conservatives in Brussels. They were letting people exit, but they were not letting them come back in. The National Conservatism Conference was full of famous conservative political leaders in Europe, including UK Brexit leader Nigel Farage, former UK government Home Secretary Suella Braverman, and French presidential candidate Eric Zemmour, who police blocked from entering. Suella Braverman, the UK's former Home Secretary, denounced the "thought police" Said Farage, "This is like the old Soviet Union. No alternative view allowed." "It's literally a siege," said the Chairman of the National Conservatism conference, Yoram Hazony.

Fresh bird flu pandemic fears as WHO warns outbreak is of 'enormous concern' and would have 'extraordinarily high' death rates <https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-13323875/Fresh-bird-flu-pandemic-fears-warns-outbreak-enormous-concern-extraordinarily-high-death-rates.html> | 18 April 2024 | The increasing spread of bird flu to humans is an "enormous concern," the World Health Organization has warned. The virus, an extremely deadly H5N1 subtype, has caused devastating declines in bird populations following its emergence in Europe in 2020. It has since jumped to mammals such as cows, cats, seals and now people, raising the risk of the virus mutating to become more transmissible. [Right, especially when it's purposefully transmitted, just like Certificate Of Vaccine IDentification: The deep state is poised to get those mail-in "ballots" fired up once agin.] While there is no evidence of human-to-human transmission, scientists have warned it would be significantly more deadly than Covid. Experts at the WHO said humans face an "extraordinarily high" mortality rate if the strain were to take hold, currently killing more than half of those infected. Jeremy Farrar, the UN health agency's chief scientist, said: "This remains I think an enormous concern."

More evidence surfaces that feds, scientists were allegedly hiding COVID origins truth <https://justthenews.com/nation/states/center-square/feds-scientists-take-fire-allegedly-hiding-covid-origins-truth> | 15 April 2024 | A Republican-led Congressional committee says a scientist and top advisor to Anthony Fauci used his personal email to hide evidence related to the origins of COVID-19. Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Chairman Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, sent a letter to the National Emerging Infectious Disease Institute asking for more information about these communications. "The Select Subcommittee is now aware of potential further attempts by Dr. [David] Morens to subvert public transparency," the letter said. "Specifically, the Select Subcommittee has been made aware of alleged communications between Dr. Morens and you regarding EcoHealth Alliance. These communications included emails from Dr. [David] Morens' personal Gmail account to you and Dr. Peter Daszak of EcoHealth," the letter adds.

Authorities are asking for callers not to even test out the phone line while they try and get service back up. Nearby Henderson, Nevada, is also facing a down 911, but various other emergency services are still running.

Boeing whistleblower warns 787 Dreamliner could 'fall apart' in midair unless safety issues addressed <https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/boeing-whistleblower-warns-787-dreamliner-could-fall-apart-midair-unless-safety-issues-addressed> | 17 April 2024 | Boeing whistleblower Sam Salehpour has doubled down on his claims that Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes need to be grounded due to widespread safety concerns. Salehpour, a Boeing engineer, previously alleged in documents to the FAA and during an interview with The New York Times that shortcuts taken when manufacturing the jets could become a serious problem as the airplanes get older, raising even more questions regarding the company's manufacturing practices. "I think it's as serious as I have ever seen in my lifetime," Salehpour told NBC News in a Tuesday interview. "The entire fleet worldwide, as far as I'm concerned, needs attention." When asked what would happen in the event of a fatigue failure on a 787 at altitude, Salehpour told NBC, "The plane will fall apart at the joints we're talking about." He added, "Once you fall apart, you're gonna descend all the way to the ground.”

The man had been arrested in Westchester, N.Y., for tearing town political advertisements, according to a prosecutor from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office. "I actually believe the propaganda that was being ripped down was political posters that were on the right -- the political right," prosecutor Joshua Steinglass said Thursday.

Prosecutors said that Trump had already violated his gag order three times, posting about the witnesses Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels on social media. They asked the judge to fine Trump 3,000 for the violation. Merchan said he will hold a hearing on the alleged violations on 23 April.

Bob Good (R-Va.), Eli Crane (R-Ariz.) and Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), where members deposed McCarthy last year. Brian O. Walsh, a longtime McCarthy ally, is a senior adviser to the group. Walsh is spearheading an effort funded by McCarthy allies to defeat the eight House Republicans who joined with Democrats to boot him from the speakership. One version of the 30-second TV spot from the American Prosperity Alliance hits Crane for voting "against funding our border security" and opposing funds for border agents, ICE and a border wall.

Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told Breitbart News that she is prepared to force House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) out of his position with a vote to vacate the chair if the Speaker does not willingly resign the position. "Yes, I am willing to force it,” Greene told Breitbart News in a lengthy exclusive interview on Tuesday afternoon where she explained her plan to remove Johnson and get a real Republican Speaker in his place. "The reality for Mike Johnson that he just is not accepting or refusing to accept, publicly at least, is whether it happens two weeks from now, two months from now, or in the next majority, he will not be Speaker. He just will not be. There may be only two of us public right now. But he does not have the support of the conference at all. There may be people who might not vote to vacate him right now, but they will never vote for him to be Speaker next Congress. There are two large factions in the conference against his speakership.”
