Breaking: Texas AG Paxton acquitted on 8 articles of impeachment <https://justthenews.com/government/courts-law/hold-texas-senate-votes> --The verdict was decided by 30 senators, of whom 12 are Democrats and the rest Republican. | 16 Sept 2023 | The Texas Senate voted on Saturday to acquit Attorney General Ken Paxton on eight of the 16 articles of impeachment that had been voted against him by the Texas House of Representatives. The votes were decided on by 30 senators, of whom 12 are Democrats and the rest Republican. The 31st Texas senator is the wife of Paxton, who was not allowed to vote in the proceedings.Paxton faced 16 articles of impeachment that alleged he used his power and office to help donor-investor Nate Paul work through legal difficulties. He was also accused of accepting bribes in the form of renovations to his home. One of the articles of impeachment was about a job from Nate Paul for a woman with whom Paxton was having an extramarital affair. The GOP-led House voted to impeach Paxton earlier this year.

Kennedy Jr., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Photos provided to The Epoch Times show the man, who was wearing a shirt with "EMS" on the back, being held in handcuffs by police officers outside the event venue in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon. Multiple police vehicles were at the scene. Mr. Kennedy Jr. was scheduled to speak at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, located at 4401 West 8th Street, to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The Los Angeles Police Department told The Epoch Times it received a call at around 4:30 p.m. reporting that a male was in front of the event venue with "a badge on their lapel, a gun, and a shoulder holster, and claimed to be a U.S. Marshal."

Speaking at a meeting of Poltava City Council, Lt. Colonel Vitaly Berezhny, who serves as acting head of the territorial center of recruitment and social support, admitted that local authorities are struggling with their conscription campaign, having fulfilled the mobilization plan by only 13%, which puts the city in last place in the whole region. Berezhny was quoted by local media outlet Poltavshina as saying the military urgently needs reinforcements, as "out of 100 people who joined the units last fall, 10-20 remain, the rest are dead, wounded or disabled."

"I'm convinced that if the Ukrainian military doesn’t stop and repel that Russian invasion, it’s not going to be too long before that Russian army crosses a border that our men and women in uniform are going to have to go and fight (for) under our NATO Treaty. I truly believe it," Pence said. However, according to NATO, "Ukraine is not a NATO member. Ukraine is a NATO partner country, which means that it cooperates closely with NATO but it is not covered by the security guarantee in the Alliance's founding treaty."

While the new study, published in Frontiers in Immunology, doesn't use the term VAIDS, the researchers recognized "a general decrease in cytokine and chemokine responses" to bacteria, fungi, and non-COVID viruses in children after COVID-19 vaccination.

In an October 2020 press conference, the FBI announced it had thwarted a plot by a so-called right-wing militia to kidnap and kill Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D). The Whitmer kidnapping plot was in the media 24/7 and used to bludgeon Trump with just a few weeks to go until Election Day. The FBI used at least 12 informants in the Michigan Whitmer kidnapping case.

Now it won't disqualify him as he gears up to compete in the delegate-rich state. A spokesperson for Governor Ron DeSantis told The Epoch Times that the opposition to the pledge was surprising.

Trump in August pleaded not guilty to all charges in Smith's Jan. 6 case, which included counts of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government, threatening constitutional rights, conspiring to obstruct an official proceeding, and obstruction of an official proceeding.
