Holder and Governor Dannel Malloy (D) unveiled "Project Longevity," a plan to reduce gun violence in Connecticut's biggest cities, at a news conference in New Haven. "With the launch of Project Longevity we're opening a new chapter in the fight against crime," Holder said. Project Longevity is first being launched in New Haven followed by Hartford and Bridgeport. The project is being funded by different sources federally and locally... Other participating Justice Department agencies in Project Longevity include the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Marshals Service.

Hey Piers, I know you Brits don't have a constitution and you're all "subjects" who take an Oath to your rich bitch Queen, but here in the good old USofA, our Oath of Allegiance is to the Federal Constitutional Republic.
Americans take an Oath of Allegiance that includes,...."to defend and protect the US Constitution against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC".
For you as a welcomed visitor to trash and marginalize our Constitution on live mass media TV is a disgrace. Your presentations are a fraud.
So quit trashing and dishonoring our Constitution or get the hell out of our country!

On SOTT's web site today, Joe Quinn writes about the conspiracy media jumping onto the Black Honda Civic owned by Christopher Rodia (mis)identified as escaping from Sandy Hook Elementary School. Quinn says:
"What so many of those who are searching for evidence of conspiracy at Sandy Hook have apparently missed is the fact that the audio files clearly contain police communications about MORE than just the Sandy Hook event."
Quinn links to what he says are the "official police radio transcripts" from that day. Upon comparison with other posted Newtown police scanner audio files, all I can say is that all the audio files are NOT identical. What they share are long silences punctuated with bursts of voices frequently garbled, scrambled and otherwise unintelligible. Can it be that these audio files have been carefully edited and doctored in order to obscure the truth rather than illuminate it?
I am reminded of the "History's Actors" quote attributed to Karl Rove in an interview with writer Ron Suskind:
"The aide (Rove) said that guys like me (Suskind) were "in what we call the reality-based community," which he defined as people who "believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality." ... "That's not the way the world really works anymore," he continued. "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors…and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.""
